Liz Czok
Liz grew up in the Green Mountain State of Vermont where she enjoyed hiking, snowboarding, and lake swimming in the summer. But she always longed for a life on the ocean. A high school field trip to Forfar Field Station on Andros Island, Bahamas was her first glimpse into the magic of the underwater world, and she was hooked. Returning to the beautiful landscape of home, Liz dove in and got her open water diver certification and then earned her bachelor’s degree in marine biology, studying at the University of Rhode Island, Coastal Carolina, and James Cook University in Queensland, Australia. During her time in Australia, she achieved her goal of becoming a SCUBA instructor. Liz’s education and life experiences have given her the opportunity to travel around the world and work on several sailing vessels in the Caribbean as a Naturalist. As a SCUBA instructor, and a certified USCG Captain, Liz has helped countless others experience their dreams of diving- from the cold waters of New England to the deep blue oceans of the South Pacific and Caribbean.
Liz’s love of the ocean has morphed into a nautical lifestyle. She has been fortunate to call the ocean her home for the past six years, while living aboard her sailboat, Meraki. When she isn’t working, you’ll find Liz on her paddle board with Midge (her Cruzan rescue dog), scuba diving with her favorite sea creatures, or enjoying a beautiful sunset on the beach.
