We are ending our expedition in the vast Upper Amazon region aboard Delfin II. The rainforest is full of surprises everywhere you look, and this morning was no exception. We spotted many unique organisms endemic to the vast, green jungle.

This morning, we explored Tarma, along the Ucayali River, in search of wildlife. Shortly after disembarkation we had our first sightings! The river is full of bird life, plenty of forest, grasslands, and river dolphins. This area is home to many iconic species of the jungle such as cormorants, wattled jacanas, horned screamers and the black-collared hawk. In the forest we found tanagers, woodpeckers, monkeys, and nun birds.
