Today we started early in the world-famous south entrance to Fakarava to time our operations with the incoming tide. This allowed for perfect drift snorkeling conditions alongside grey, blacktip, and whitetip reef sharks, as well as schools of snapper, beautiful coral, and huge Napolean wrasse. Every single person was smiling by the time we returned to National Geographic Orion for lunch.

The afternoon offered additional fun with a visit to a pink sand beach for kayaking and snorkeling.
