Today we were on a Panga ride at the Island of Fernandina when we came across five penguins. Suddenly, our guide Rafael stood up and started to jump around in the boat and scream, "They're mating! They're mating!" We looked and it was true! I never imagined that penguins would make such a public display of such matters. In front of twenty five people and all. Antonio asked me then how I thought it would be, and I answer, "I don't know, maybe just in a cave or something, or in a motel, not the middle of the ocean." It is really amazing to see how life continues and restarts again over and over in front of your very eyes. The picture corresponds to the few moments after the remarkable encounter.
