Today was totally devoted to one species of animal, the gray whale. There were four rounds of Zodiac trips which sought out the great beasts as they swam against the tide as it ebbed and flowed through the "boca," or mouth of the bay, just north of where the ship was anchored. Good sightings were had by all as the whales swam, spyhopped, breached, and fluked their way around the bay.
