The gray whale, once almost extinct, has recovered to an astounding degree: the population is around 26,000 animals. They make the longest known mammalian migration, from the Bering and Okhotsk Seas to the Mexican lagoons of Western Baja California. In Magdalena Bay, whale-watching is a winter activity, where we have the opportunity of seeing the many different behaviors that these behemoths show us.
