On this fine fall day, we took advantage of the warm weather and started with views from atop Rowena Crest. We continued to enjoy this unusual fall weather with walks along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The shade cast by Douglas fir, Garry oak, Ponderosa pine, and bigleaf maple were much appreciated. The nimble National Geographic Sea Bird served as our base of operations in the marina at Hood River, Oregon.
