After over 8 hours navigation we arrived to the most pristine and volcanic region of the Galapagos, Fernandina Island. We landed at Punta Espinoza, a visitor’s site with a lot of marine iguanas basking in the sun and sea lions playing in the tide pools. We had an amazing walk along the shoreline, where we observed the endemic flightless cormorants drying their small wings.

After we returned to the ship, we headed to the north part of the big island, Isabela. At Punta Vicente Roca, we had an amazing snorkeling along the coast, where colorful fish congregate. Afterwards, we offered a Zodiac ride, allowing our guests to enjoy the interesting volcanic features as well as the coastal wildlife. At the end of the day we celebrated with wine tasting out on the deck of the National Geographic Endeavour II as we crossed of the Equator line.
