Today our expedition brought us to Korčula, one of the pearls of the Croatian coast. We approached the island early in the morning, so early risers profited not only from coffee, tea, and delicious pastries that were served for them on promenade deck, but also from enchanting passages of Korčula and Pelješac peninsula.

Sea Cloud docked in the eastern side of Korčula at 8:15 a.m., and it was then time for a guided walking tour. Another small but beautiful medieval town with a very rich history was there to explore. St. Mark's Cathedral , Bishop's Palace, and Church of All Saints were the highlights of our tour which was followed by free time. Some of the guests used it to visit famous Korčula coral shops, some of them relaxed in small cafes, some used free time for the last swim on this cruise, and some continued to explore the town on their own. At the end of the morning the special Moreška dance was organized for us, one more tradition of Korčula preserved to the present day.

At 1:00 p.m. it was the time for all on board, a bit sad to leave this charming town but at the same time looking forward to our last afternoon sail on this cruise. And what a sail it was, with most of the sails set and the ship sailing at six knots in the beautiful Adriatic Sea. This was also the day for Captain's Farewell Cocktail Party and the Farewell Dinner. In his speech Captain Pushkarev thanked our guests for spending time on this wonderful ship and invited them to come back again, which I belive many of them will do. It is incredibly easy to fall in love with this beautiful lady and always wish to return for new adventures.
