Our last full day in the Peruvian Amazon was a memorable one. It started with an early morning exploration of the Marayali area, where we saw an amazing tropical porcupine. After breakfast, we visited a local community named Amazonas. The local people greeted us with open arms and showed us their way of life. They demonstrated how they utilize jungle products in a sustainable way to create lovely handicrafts. Later, we boarded our skiffs to explore Piraña Creek and ended the tour by drifting at the confluence of the Marañon and the Ucayali Rivers. We toasted our awesome time exploring this amazing place together.
