Today we visited a river that is an important part of the reserve where local fishermen have several ranger stations to protect this special place. We explored deep into the river and inside a huge lagoon accessible during the high-water season. Here we had the chance to find many different frog species in addition to the very elusive pigmy owl. This morning, we also had a chance to see a water snake crossing the lagoon!
After a quick stop at a ranger station for a snack, we had a refreshing swim in the black waters of the Pacha River.
