On the final day of an action-packed voyage, the guests of National Geographic Venture greeted the morning clouds with fresh coffee and smiles as we pulled into Rodman Bay. For a week that promised rain, it always seemed to come at the right time for us. A variety of hikes were offered for the last morning; everything from the three-hour bushwhack to the sixty-minute exploration around the beach with insights from Jeff.
The rainforest was thriving in the gentle showers today as we climbed over downed trees and pushed through bright green ferns. After lunch, the collection of photos for the guest slideshow began in the lounge.
We travelled through the tight Sergius Narrows en route to Sitka as we enjoyed our final dinner together. After dinner came the main event, the presentation of the guest slide show. The laughter, tears, and comradery were on full display as we celebrated an amazing adventure together.
