Our operation is articulated around the town of Puerto Ayora for the whole day. This is where most of the population in the Galapagos is concentrated. This is also where the installation of the Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Foundation are established, and where the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center -our visit for the morning- operates.

The highland of Santa Cruz has an extended rural area. Several farmers prefer to maintain their land as a suitable habitat for the giant tortoise, and offer a great opportunity to see those giant from another time roaming freely around. So our topic for today is Galapagos tortoises.
