Today we visited Cerro Dragon at Santa Cruz Island, in the central part of the Galápagos Archipelago. This area of the island is one of the few places where we find land iguanas, due to the soil being suitable for building sleeping burrows. Here the iguanas find food from the giant cactus and the different species of trees found in the dry forest as well.

The area has a couple of small brackish lagoons as well, where we saw a few flamingoes, stilts, whimbrels and ducks as well.

During the same morning we went snorkeling at Guy Fawkes Islands, where we found sea lions, rays and reef sharks.

In the afternoon we visited Eden Island and here we went for a Zodiac ride and saw boobies, pelicans and frigates.

At the end of the day we navigated around the famous Daphne Island, where research about finches has been developed since 1970s.
