The Island of Santa Cruz is the second largest in the Archipelago and the most populated. Here the headquarters of the National Park Service and the Charles Darwin Research Station are located to help and preserve the wildlife. Today we had the opportunity to visit the breeding centre for the different species of giant tortoises that were decimated by humans. Also it was a great to see the way the locals live in this paradise.
