On the last full day of our expedition in the Galapagos, we started the morning with a sunrise kayak session along Buccaneer Cove, located on Santiago Island. We were surrounded by amazing volcanic formations, and we spotted marine birds and mammals while paddling there. After breakfast, we submerged into the marine ecosystem where we enjoyed snorkeling and a boat ride in the glass-bottom boat.
We spent the afternoon hiking on a site called Egas Port, known for being the home of diverse species of land birds, reptiles, and marine mammals. Along the way, we saw species of Galapagos mockingbirds, Darwin finches, Galapagos flycatchers, yellow land iguanas, marine iguanas, and fur seals.
Finally, we ended our day with a stretching and meditation session on the beach. What a nice way to end an amazing expedition experience.
