The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on March 15, 2017.

Rich culture, history, and a passion for protecting the environment are on display as we explore Trinidad and the Sierra de Escambry mountain region. Walking the cobblestone streets of Trinidad we understand why this became a World Heritage Site in 1988 with its colonial architecture and base in sugar cane production standing above all. Others head to the mountain range in the central part of the country and are given a view of a different habitat for various species not found close to the coast. All are content as the sun dips into the horizon as we sail into the distance.
