The DER below is from the expedition to Cuba that began on March 22, 2017.

We arrive at Trinidad, an area steeped in an infamous history based on slavery and sugar cane plantations. Today, this World Heritage Site shows us a new era where the colonial buildings are painted in bright colors and a vibrant artistic base is present at every corner. As we look up into the surrounding hills, we find that the natural history is equally interesting and we explore this further as we head into the Topes de Collantes reserve area, where many endemic species appear before our eyes.
