As we woke up at 5:30, we were surprised by a solid rainy sunrise. Our usual pre-breakfast activity turned into a deep look into the heavy rain that characterizes this region of the world. Right after breakfast, the rain stopped and we had the opportunity to visit the Supay Creek, and as we made up to the waters, we had the incredible opportunity to see various species of monkeys: the well furred monk saki monkey, the curious and large trooped squirrel monkey, the little marmoset monkeys and the titi monkey, also known as the pocket monkey, for its small size. We also had the chance to see a number of birds, like the cara-cara, the turkey vulture and the aracari tuocanet, with incredible colors all along its beak. Upon finishing our trip along the creek, we had the chance to once ore explore the waters by kayak, an activity that allowed us to see nature first hand, surrounded by the noises of the jungle, and the colors of the rich flora and fauna.

Before we had our well-deserved lunch, we were summoned by our expedition leader to instruct us on the proceedings for travelling back home the next day. All questions were answered, and copies of our passports were made; everything arranged and all systems ready for a save departure the day of tomorrow. But this day was not over yet: after lunch we had the time to visit a “jungle mall”, the very little community of San Miguel, where most of our beautiful ship decoration is purchased. Our last shopping opportunity! And we finished the day with a skiff ride along the Yarapa River, to enjoy the last moments of a wonderful sunny afternoon. Just before dinner, we watched a great collection of pictures that will turn into a movie in few weeks, available to be watch by all our guests on the Web. The end of our last day was met with Pisco Sours and other cocktails, and the words of farewell from our ship leaders. This was a great day for the end of our adventure in the Amazon!
