The trip on the Columbia River kicked off with a great trip around Astoria Oregon. National Geographic Quest docked early in the morning and everyone began the adventure. Guests had the opportunity to explore historic Fort Clatsop where Lewis and Clark spent the winter of 1805. There was also a chance to explore Cape Disappointment and Waikiki Beach in Washington as well as the Columbia River Maritime Museum. After a day of excitement, everyone boarded the ship and continued up the Columbia River.
