We woke this morning to thick fog surrounding the ship and gentle seas as we continued our journey north back across the infamous Drake Passage. By lunch time, the fog had thinned and it was a good opportunity to do some bird watching from the outer decks, rewarding guests with great sightings of albatross and petrels. In the morning, we had two excellent presentations from our naturalists, and in the afternoon, guests were given a behind the scenes tour of the ship by Captain Oliver.

Afternoon tea was held in the laundry, which was a great location for guests to convene, sip tea, and commiserate about the almost unbelievable experiences they had over the past eight days.

In the evening, we had our final recap of the voyage in the Ice Lounge and after dinner, guests were treated to an incredible live performance by National Geographic Endurance’s very own pop band, the Shackle-tunes!
