the white sand beach, different tones of turquois on the water and sea lions laying down and “posing” for pictures made this morning a memorable moment. It rained for a moment; it actually felt splendid!

On the afternoon, we walked on Punta Suarez. This is one of the richest wildlife locations on the archipelago. Endemic lava lizards, endemic marine iguanas actively nesting and the amazing Galapagos hawk on his rock living together with Nazca boobies, swallow- tailed gulls. In addition, as this was not enough on our first long hike, an amazing harem of female and juvenile sea lions on the beach, patrolled by the alpha male.

Watching the marine iguanas building their nest was an incredible experience. They were so active, so busy, their colors were bright and inviting for taking pictures, the red and the green will tell us an endemic history about their own adaptation to this island in particular.

Lava lizards will surprise us on every step. Bigger on size than those ones that we saw on San Cristobal Island the day before, with beautiful patterns, they took the attention of everyone on the group. Females will show a bright red color on their thought making it very easy for us to recognize and differentiate females from males.

The most interesting thing about this excursion is not only that we see all this animals, unique endemic spices in the world, but also that we can see them interacting together, sharing shade for example or sharing nesting areas. The interaction between all of them is what makes this excursion a memorable experience.
