A beautiful morning in Darwin bay, where we saw male Great frigate birds with their red pouches inflated, attracting the females that were flying around. We also saw swallow-tailed gulls, Galapagos mockingbirds, Galapagos sea lions, yellow-crowned night herons, nazca and red footed boobies.

In the afternoon we explored Prince Phillip’s Steps. After climbing the cliff, the trail took us along the Nazca boobies nesting area through a forest of Palo Santo trees with nesting red-footed boobies. We also saw the Galapagos short-eared owl, storm petrels, Galapagos doves, Darwin finches, and the Galapagos fur sea lions resting on lava rocks.
