This morning we awoke in Loreto Bay National Park, and soon after sunrise we were watching four fin whales against the dramatic backdrop of the Sierra de la Giganta Mountains. Later in the day we were thrilled to watch four blue whales which at times surfaced upside-down, apparently feeding. The ship cruised close alongside San Ildefonso Island, an important nesting location for many seabirds.
