Wild Peru Escape: Amazon and Machu Picchu, May 31, 2024
The purple-throated cotinga is one of the most spectacular birds of the Amazon. Its vibrant coloration is amazing. Today I snapped the very best photo I have ever taken of this little jewel that is usually seen at the top of very high trees. One was spotted in a low bush near our boat.
